Information we collect
When you apply, book a service, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, contact details, and the answers you provide on an application or during a consultation. If you apply for matchmaking, this also includes the information needed to initiate a background screening.
How we use it
We use your information to evaluate your application, deliver the service you’ve booked (matchmaking or coaching), communicate with you, and process payment. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone outside the purposes described here.
Background screening and Triton Canada
If you apply for matchmaking, your application is screened by Triton Canada, an independent Toronto-based background screening company. Triton collects your consent and runs the criminal record check directly. Love Collective does not see or store the criminal record result itself, only the outcome relevant to your application decision. Triton Canada’s own privacy practices govern how they handle the check itself.
No public profiles, no searchable database
Love Collective does not publish member profiles and does not maintain a searchable database of members. Nothing about you as an applicant or member is visible to anyone outside the matchmaking or coaching process itself.
Payment information
Membership fees, the $97 application fee, and coaching fees are paid by Interac e-Transfer; we don’t store your banking details, they’re handled by your financial institution. The Professional Matchmaking Guide ebook and event tickets are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor, which handles card information directly. We don’t store your full card number.
How long we keep information
We keep application and membership information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and we remove information that’s no longer needed for those purposes.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we’re not otherwise required to keep it. Contact us using the details on our Contact page to make a request.
